IVES
Integrated Volitional control Electrical Stimulator
Effective Rehabilitation with IVES
IVES is an
integrated Volitional control Electrical Stimulator that can be used for upper-
or lower-limb rehabilitation of patients with paralysis caused by
cerebrovascular diseases or locomotive disabilities.
All functions from
setup to treatment are integrated into one compact body
A vatiey of treatment modes, to fit a wide range of pathologies.
“Power Assist mode†as well as five
other treatment modes are available. A single unit can be used for various
cases of patients’ needs.
Up to 45 treatment patterns can be
stored and easily recalled for later use.
IVES+ administrative functions
When IVES is connected, its treatment
modes are enabled and a patient’s treatment history including total treatment
time, the number of times stimulation was emitted and the cumulative simulation
time.
IVES is a pocket-sized stimulator that's so simple
to operate.
Easy to use
After entering the
treatment settings in IVES+, simply press the START button to begin treatment
Compact and Lightweight
IVES is about the
size of a cell phone and weighs only 95 grams.
Easy Battery Charging
Just place it on
the battery charger to charge
Can be used for upper or lower limb treatments
Equipped with Power
Assist Mode and Sensor Trigger Mode. Treatment parameters for both upper and
lower limbs can be stored in one device.
Equipped with six treatment modes to accommodate a
variety of symptoms and conditions, from the hospital to patient's home
Power Assist Mode [Voluntary movement + Electrical Stimulation]
Using real-time
feedback, electrical stimulation is output in proportion to EMG signal in the
body part being treated. The amount of strength exerted can be visually
monitored with the muscle action potential indicator lights
External Assist Mode
*available only for GD-611
*requires bipolar electrode cord
(optional accessory)
Electrical
stimulation is emitted in proportion to the EMG signal in a body part other
than the one being treated. By stimulating the paralyzed side of the body in
proportion to the EMG signal in the healthy side, both sided can be trained.
Trigger Mode
*available only for GD-611
When the EMG signal
in the body part being treated reaches the present threshold, electrical
Stimulation is output according the present parameters.
External Trigger Mode
*available only for GD-611
*requires bipolar electrode cord
(optional accessory)
When the muscle
action potential a body part other than the one being treated reaches the
preset threshold, electric stimulations output according to the preset
parameters.
*Bipolar electrode
cords and IVES gel electrodes are required to use this mode.
Normal Mode
*available only for GD-611
Outputs electrical
Stimulation according to preset parameters
Sensor Trigger Mode
*Gait sensor required (optional
accessory)
Electrical
Stimulation starts and stops based on feedback from the gait sensor. When the
gait sensor detects that the patient's heel has left the floor, stimulation is
output based on preset parameters.
